Creating A Google Ads Account

Welcome to RankPay’s quick-start guide for setting up your Google Ads account. This article will walk you through the essential steps to create your account, ensuring a seamless and efficient setup. Whether you’re new to digital advertising or simply adding Google Ads to your marketing toolkit, follow these steps carefully. Our team is here to assist with the more technical aspects, allowing you to focus on running your business while we handle the complexities of account configuration and campaign management.

  1. Navigate to Google Ads: Open your web browser and go to ads.google.com.
  2. Initiate Account Creation: Click on “Start Now” located in the top right corner of the homepage.
  3. Google Account Login: Sign in with your existing Google account. If you do not have one, you will be prompted to create an account before proceeding.
  4. Enter Business Information:
    • Business Name: Input the name of your business. DBA names are acceptable.
    • Website: Enter the URL of your business website.
  5. Skip Initial Setup:
    • Please skip the following prompts as our team will handle them for you:
      • Link accounts
      • Conversion Setup
      • Campaign Type
  6. Opt-Out of Campaign Creation: Select “Leave Campaign Creation” to bypass setting up a campaign at this stage.
  7. Set Up Billing Profile:
    • Create Billing Profile: Click on “Create New Payments Profile.”
    • Business Details: Input both the name and the legal name of your business, along with your business zipcode.
    • Payment Information: Add a payment method. Note: Google will temporarily authorize $50 on the account, which may remain pending for up to one week. This authorization is standard for all new payment methods added.
  8. Complete Advertiser Verification:
    • For the first question, select “No.”
    • For the second question, select “Yes, we pay Google Ads directly.”
  9. Finalization: Click on “Save And Continue.”
  10. Account Number:
    • Once your account is set up, locate and copy your 10-digit account number from the top right of the screen.
    • Send this number to your account manager at RankPay.
